Sonoran Sunrise Southwestern Ring {sz 5 3/4 -6}

0.00

Lovingly handcrafted. Solid sterling silver.

Sonoran Sunrise (chrysocolla + cuprite) in a sterling silver bezel setting, atop a sterling backing, with intricate sterling silver accents. A wide, slightly hammered, split shank adorns the back, which includes my artist mark. The ring was given a patina + brought to a shine. This ring fits a size 5 3/4-6.

Note: wide bands tend to feel a little snug, so some people prefer to size up 1/4 a size.

*This ring is listed at a slight discount due to one of the prongs not soldering fully to the backplate + only finding it after the stone was set. It is a design error; the ring band is fully functional, secure + will not come off.

Ready to ship + thoughtfully packaged in recycled materials.

—About the Stone—

“The blue/green in the stone is Chrysocolla + the red is Cuprite. This Chrysocolla Cuprite is from the Milpillas Mine, Cuitata, Municipio de Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. The mine opened in 2006. Though the mine is still producing, most of this material has been mined out. Chrysocolla is named from the Greek chrysos - "gold" and kolla - "glue" in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold. Cuprite is named from the Latin, cuprum, meaning copper.”
