Royston Ribbon Evergreen Necklace

150.00

Intentionally handcrafted from sterling silver and fine silver. A hand-sawn evergreen sits atop layered silver with scalloped edges, above a royston ribbon turquoise river (or roots) depending on your perspective. A 16” oxidized sterling chain is included. My makers mark is on the back for authenticity. The whole piece was given a patina and lightly polished to bring out the depth and detail. The pendant measures a little over two inches in length. Thoughtfully packaged from recycled materials + ready to ship.

About the stone—It was originally discovered in the 1970’s by a herder who stumbled upon a vein of turquoise on the hillside. Since then, production of this unique type of turquoise has been small because of how remote the mine is. This makes Boulder Turquoise, or Ribbon turquoise valued for both its beauty and rarity. The mine is located in northeast Nevada. It is known for its “ribbon-like” veins of turquoise running through the host rock.
