Petrified Palm Root Statement Necklace

0.00

Intentionally handcrafted from solid sterling, this statement necklace features a gorgeous cut of Indonesian fossilized palm root, atop two layers of silver with scalloped edges. A thick sterling bail holds an oxidized 16” sterling silver chain. The back includes my artist mark. The whole piece was given a dark patina and lightly buffed to bring out the depth of the stone, as well as the details. Thoughtfully packaged in recycled materials + ready to ship. The pendant measures roughly under 3 inches long.

About the Stone—“Petrified (fossilized) Palm Root forms when a tree dies and is buried under sediments. Minerals in the ground water permeate the wood and replace the original organic matter with silica and other trace elements. The trace elements cause the colors that you find in this material. It is a very rare stone and is estimated to be around 20 to 40 million years old.” It is said to enhance your connection to earth and to bring good luck when worn as a talisman.
