Layered Rooster Necklace w/ Sodalite

145.00

Hand fabricated. hand stamped. hand sawn.

The rooster was sawn out of three layers of solid sterling silver, with a fine silver bezel, holding a Sodalite cabochon with orange calcite. Six fine silver recycled embellishments rest to the sides of the rooster’s feet. He was given a liver of sulfur (LOS) patina + then delicately polished to bring out the stamped details, as well as the layering. My artist mark is stamped to the back.

An oxidized + tumbled 18” sterling silver chain is included. The pendant measures approximately 2 1/2 inches long.

—About the Stone—

Sodalite was first discovered in Greenland in 1811 and fast became one of the most popular ornamental stones of that century. It is usually a dark blue with veins of white and black running through it, and in some rare cases, orange calcite. It is said that Sodalite brings inner peace and calm to its wearer and is believed to encourage inspiration and creativity.
